Prof. Trevor DeVries and students awarded at American Dairy Science Association Annual Meeting

ABSc Prof. Trevor DeVries was one of eight people inducted into the Journal of Dairy Science Club 100-Class of 2019 at the American Dairy Science Association Annual Meeting held June 23-26 in Cincinatti, OH. The JDS Club 100 was created in 2017 to recognize those that have authored or co-authored more than 100 articles in the Journal of Dairy Science in their careers.

PhD Candidate Awarded 1st Place at Infographic Poster Competition

George Hall, a PhD candidate working with Prof. Gregoy Bederracats, won first place in the Infographic Poster Competition at the recent Agri-Food Excellence Symposium. George's winning poster, titled "Preserving Turkey Genetics", provides an overview of why the number of turkey breeds is on the decline and potential solutions for their recovery.

Prof. Michael Steele Receives the ASAS Early Career Achievement Award

ABSc Prof. Michael Steele has been named a recipient of the 2019 American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) Early Career Achievement Award. The award will be presented during the 2019 ASAS-CSAS Annual Meeting held this July in Austin, Texas.The ASAS Early Career Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has shown outstanding achievement as a young scholar.
