Hannah Sweet, PhD., Lactanet

The Alumni seminar series concludes this week with Hannah Sweet, a Genetics Extension Expert from Lactanet.

Bio:

Hannah discovered her passion for agriculture during her undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph and through work experience in the dairy industry. She holds a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics and a Ph.D. in Animal Genetics, focusing on the genetic improvement of dairy cattle fertility. Through her involvement in student-led organizations, including the President of the College Royal Society, and interest in knowledge mobilization, Hannah has learned key strategies to communicate genetics in an impactful way.

The Alumni seminar series focuses on Department of Animal Biosciences Alumni and the opportunities & challenges they see in their work in industry.  The goal is for us to reconnect with them professionally, inspire graduate students and to inform all our work with their perspectives 'from the field'.
