Details

The Resilient Dairy Genome Project (RDGP) is a Large-Scale Applied Research Project funded by Genome Canada. The overall aim of the project is to enhance Canadian dairy industry sustainability by integrating genomic approaches to improve dairy cattle resilience.

The RDGP is led by Drs. Christine Baes (University of Guelph), Ronaldo Cerri (University of British Columbia), Marc-André Sirard (Université Laval), and Paul Stothard (University of Alberta), working together with over 30 co-investigators, collaborators and end-users from over 35 international partner organizations.

The project is finishing in June 2025, and we have organized a one-day symposium in Guelph where team members and international partners will provide an update on the project findings. Furthermore there will be talks by the members of the research oversight committee, and other invited speakers.

You are welcome to attend the Breeding for Resiliency 2024 RDGP Symposium on November 18, 2024 at 8:15am.
