I’m currently doing my master's program with Dr. Michael Steele in the Department of Animal Biosciences. My program is focused on calf nutrition, evaluating the effects of Lactobacillus helveticus supplementation on calf health and performance. We believe that probiotic supplementation can have a huge impact on gut health. Given this, we are interested in evaluating the inflammatory response as well as the gut epithelial integrity to determine if calves being exposed to a stressful period are able to recover while receiving the supplementation.
I was born in Argentina and grew up in a small city in the south part of the Grand Buenos Aires area, where I completed my degree at the National University of Lomas de Zamora. I’ve loved dairy cows since I started working with them, and I find peace and joy in between them.
One of my goals in life is to become a successful professional, working in consulting-related jobs with dairy cows. I describe myself as an extremely honest person and in my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and playing sports.
