Doctor of Veterinary Medicine focused on calf rearing and milk quality, combining dairy farm consultancy experience (Calves’ pre-weaning, mastitis prevention and control) with academic research on calf health, welfare, and performance. MSc in Animal Science (PUCPR, Brazil) and currently a PhD candidate at PUCPR (Brazil) investigating the impact of pair-housing systems on short- and long-term outcomes, beef-on-dairy calf rearing, and resilience-related responses in dairy calves. As a Visiting Research Student at the University of Guelph, he is examining how beef-on-dairy and Holstein calves differ in feeding behavior and how management practices can influence calves’ resilience to challenges.
