Dr. Juliana Torrecilhas is a postdoctoral researcher at São Paulo State University (Unesp Botucatu, Brazil), where her research focuses on early weaning with supplementation to evaluate carcass and meat quality traits in Nellore cattle, using an omics approach. Currently, she is a visiting international research student at the University of Guelph. Dr. Torrecilhas earned her Bachelor's (2014) and Master's (2016) in Animal Science from Maringá State University, where she was responsible for the project on the use of essential oils in beef cattle diets during the finishing phase in feedlots to improve meat quality. She completed her Ph.D. in Animal Science in 2021 at São Paulo State University (Jaboticabal), with a project titled effects of mineral or protein + energy supplementation during the growing phase on meat quality of beef cattle finished in pasture or feedlot system.
