Biography
Julia is a Ph.D. student in Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph, under the supervision of Dr. Flavio Schenkel at the Centre for Genetic Improvement of Livestock (CGIL). She earned her B.Sc. in Animal Science (2021) and her M.Sc. in Animal Science with a focus on Animal Breeding and Genetics (2024) from São Paulo State University (UNESP – Jaboticabal), Brazil. During her undergraduate and master’s studies, Julia participated in academic exchanges at Massey University, New Zealand, and the University of Guelph, Canada, respectively.
