I am a Master of Science student in Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph in Dr Elijah Kiarie's lab, specializing in monogastric animal nutrition. My current research focuses on evaluating sunflower meal as a sustainable alternative to soybean meal in poultry and swine feeding programs. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from the University of Guelph, where I gained hands-on experience in feed formulation, cell-based trials, and multi-species research across poultry, swine, and equine systems.
My academic and professional background includes work at the Ontario Veterinary College and the Arkell Research Centers, where I contributed to nutrition and welfare studies. My career goals include pursuing research in animal nutrition or working as a commercial animal nutritionist, with a particular interest in monogastric species.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy music and spending time with my pets, which inspire my commitment to animal health and well-being.
